Sustainability

Inspired by the natural landscape.

As well as cutting edge technology and next generation workspaces, the design of Metroplex Westgate has been inspired by a commitment to protect and enhance the area’s natural environment.

The result is a healthier place to work, with the bonus of improved commercial outcomes through reduced utility costs. Multiple walkways and easy access to public transport, including the nearby Wacol and Richlands train stations, will encourage staff to reduce the burden on the surrounding road network.

The green credentials of Metroplex Westgate include a 25-hectare footprint of retained natural vegetation and wildlife corridors as well as green parks and public open spaces to serve as breakout and informal meeting areas.

Seedlings have been sourced from within the development area as part of an eight-year procurement and nursery program and over 300,000 native plants and shrubs will be planted within the estate.

An extensive rehabilitation and management plan is also in place for existing natural assets, including Bullockhead Creek, along with nature corridors which allow animals to safely find new habitat.
